Dealing With Dissatisfaction In Life
In this episode, I explore the universal experience of dissatisfaction in life, known as *dukkha*, and how to navigate it using the Four Noble Truths. I explain that *dukkha* is not just suffering, but a broader sense of unsatisfactoriness and stress inherent in ordinary existence. The core teaching is that while difficulties are inevitable, our suffering often stems from our reactive patterns. I introduce the ELSA framework as a practical approach: Embrace the instance of suffering, Let go of the reactive pattern, See the stopping of the reactivity through observation, and Act skillfully. This framework offers a way to work with reality rather than against it, leading to a more liberated and less reactive life.
