True Selflessness
In this episode, I explore the Buddhist concept of selflessness, moving beyond the common understanding of simply being less selfish. I delve into the idea that our sense of self is not an independent, eternal entity, but rather a temporary illusion that arises from our interdependence with others. Key insights include recognizing that "I" am the sum total of all other people and things, and that true peace and happiness are found in this state of selflessness, or oneness. This understanding has practical applications in how we view our relationships, our identities, and our place in the world, encouraging humility and appreciation for others by realizing we are all interconnected.
