What Happens When We Die?
In this episode, I explore the Buddhist perspective on death, emphasizing that change is the only constant. I delve into the core Buddhist concepts of impermanence and interdependence, explaining how everything is in a perpetual state of flux and interconnectedness, much like the cells in our bodies or the formation and dissipation of clouds. I highlight that our dualistic thinking, which creates rigid concepts of beginning and end, birth and death, is the source of our fear surrounding mortality. The key takeaway is that by understanding that birth wasn't the absolute beginning and death isn't the absolute end, but rather a transition within a continuous cycle, we can find peace and acceptance. This perspective offers practical relevance by encouraging us to embrace the present moment and release the need for definitive answers about the unknowable, finding contentment in simply being.
