Dealing With Difficult Emotions
In this episode, I explore how to deal with difficult emotions by understanding that the problem isn't the emotion itself, but our reaction to it. I explain that emotions are natural and impermanent, and the key is to observe them without judgment, rather than trying to suppress them. This practice, akin to non-attachment, involves recognizing the difference between the "thinking mind" and the "observing mind," allowing us to create space for compassion and acceptance. By simply being with our emotions and understanding their impermanence and universality, we can reduce their power and navigate challenging feelings with greater ease and equanimity.
