Stepping Into Groundlessness
In this episode, I explore the concept of groundlessness, drawing from Pema Chödrön's teachings and my own experiences. I discuss how the illusion of a firm foundation leads to suffering when we cling to permanence in an impermanent world, and how fear and uncertainty are natural responses to this reality. The key takeaway is that instead of resisting these feelings, we can learn to befriend them, recognizing that true stability comes from accepting and adapting to life's inherent unpredictability, much like playing a game of Tetris where the pieces constantly change. This practice of stepping into groundlessness, beginning with hopelessness rather than the hope for security, can lead to radical okayness and a profound sense of peace by fostering faith in our own ability to handle whatever life throws at us.
