The Secular Buddhism Podcast is moving to a new home
This month marks 10 years since the Secular Buddhism Podcast launched. Many of you have been with me from the earliest days, and I'm deeply grateful for your support over the years.
I'm excited to let you know about a big change: I'm consolidating everything into a new platform called eightfoldpath.com and will be replacing this current website (secularbuddhism.com) at the end of December. This will automatically cancel all ongoing pledges and renewals.
The podcast isn't changing. Same name, same content, same approach. What's changing is where everything lives. Over the years, I've used several different platforms to manage content, payments, and communication. The new platform consolidates all of that into one place, with a direct link to our online community.
What this means for you:
If you're a paying supporter: Your subscription will not automatically carry over, but your account information, including your current expiration date, is already in the new system. When you create a free account at eightfoldpath.com using the same email address you're reading this from, the platform will recognize you and immediately grant you Supporter access through the end of your current subscription period. Before that date, you'll need to set up a new contribution in the Settings if you'd like to continue supporting.
If you're a free follower: Create a free account at eightfoldpath.com to keep receiving updates about new episodes and posts. Everything on the new platform is free to access.
What you'll find at the new platform:
The entire podcast archive with full transcripts, searchable and easy to browse. Structured courses. Community access. And a new tool I'm really excited to share: Noah AI.
Noah AI Study Companion
Noah AI is trained on 10 years of podcast episodes, my books, and courses. It's designed to be a study companion. It's like having access to a Buddhist teacher who knows everything I've ever recorded or written. Beta testers have told me it's been far more useful than they could have imagined. It's not just for answering questions, it's a thinking partner for working through real-life situations and understanding how these teachings apply to everyday life.
Try it yourself:
- Why does Noah compare life to Tetris instead of chess?
- Which episode talks about the parable of the second arrow?
- What is the moral of the story of the two monks crossing the river?
- How can I use Buddhism to deal with a difficult coworker?
A quick reminder about the Parable of The Raft:
This transition is a natural moment to remember that this podcast, like any teaching, is meant to be a raft. If it has served its purpose and you're ready to continue your journey without it, that's wonderful. No guilt, no obligation. That's how it's supposed to be.
But if the podcast is still serving you, or if you'd like to help make these teachings and tools freely available to others, I hope you'll join me on the new platform and consider continuing your support.
I'll be releasing a full podcast episode soon with more details, but the best way to see what's new is to explore it yourself. Everything is free to access. Create an account, look around, try Noah AI, and see if it's valuable to you.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Noah
