This workshop is designed to be an introduction to Developing Mindfulness. This workshop is produced by The Foundation for Mindful Living and taught by Noah Rasheta (SecularBuddhism.com). All donations go to the Foundation for Mindful Living, a non-profit dedicated to building tools and creating content to help people live more mindfully.
The benefits of mindfulness are backed by the following empirical studies...
Mindfulness is a skill that anchors us in the present moment. By learning to be mindful, we can pay attention, in a non-judgmental way, to what we are experiencing in the present moment. Mindfulness has been extensively researched and empirically proven to increase positive emotion, emotional intelligence, and self-control. It also decreases depression, anxiety, and stress.
These are some of the key topics we'll cover. A full list of topics and schedule will be provided at the event. Exact schedule is subject to change.

Mindfulness is about developing awareness that arises in the present moment. It's about knowing what is on your mind.
Meditation can help us move beyond our stress-inducing thoughts and into a more peaceful state of awareness anchored in the present moment.
There is a gap between cause and effect. By learning to pause in that gap, we have control over how we react to life's events.
Great friendships can multiply the joy we experience in life. You will develop new friendships with other like-minded individuals.
