Why develop mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a skill that anchors us in the present moment. By learning to be mindful, we can pay attention, in a non-judgmental way, to what we are experiencing in the present moment. Mindfulness has been extensively researched and empirically proven to increase positive emotion, emotional intelligence, and self-control. It also decreases depression, anxiety, and stress.

About Noah Rasheta

A Powerful Shift in Perspective

Mindfulness is about developing awareness that arises in the present moment. It's about knowing what is on your mind.

Learn to Meditate

Meditation can help us move beyond our stress-inducing thoughts and into a more peaceful state of awareness anchored in the present moment.

Learning to Pause

There is a gap between cause and effect. By learning to pause in that gap, we have control over how we react to life's events.

Develop New Friendships

Great friendships can multiply the joy we experience in life. You will develop new friendships with other like-minded individuals.

Here's what past workshop attendees had to say:

What I appreciated the most is how Noah approaches Buddhism and Meditation from a strictly secular viewpoint. This has allowed many of us with differing world and religious views, including my wife with whom I do not share religious beliefs, to share discussions on topics of morality, critical thinking, mindfulness, self-improvement, suffering, acceptance, compassion, etc on more common ground and without conflict. I highly recommend this generously prepared course material to anyone at all.

Seth Lester Leary
Kamas, Utah

I've always liked everything I've read about Buddhism but I didn't realize how profound these concepts really were until I started reading Noah's work on secularbuddhism.com. I gained a whole new appreciation for life after learning about the nature of suffering.

Michelle Slats
Arlington, Texas

Through learning the concepts and teachings of meditation, oneness, and mostly being PRESENT to my existence, I can say without hesitation that these principles have improved my thinking...I am much more calm and collected with everyday circumstances...
